PAUL KLEE LANDSCAPE WITH YELLOW BIRDS

a very lovely lithograph dating from the 1950s, reproduced from a painting by one of the most renowned artists of all time

it depicts a lovely expressionistic landscape of sky with clouds & foliage below, interspersed with yellow birds

painted in a child-like manner, a style which Klee admired & tried to emulate, despite being a grown man

the naive, primitive style, was revered by many artists who were trying to get back to the real essence of expression, which many

trained artists believed they had generally lost once into their adulthood

CONDITION

framed unglazed in its original "Boots Style frame, with classic wedge profile so very reminiscent of the era

both picture & frame are in excellent condition - there are just a couple very minor/superficial marks
